Well the video is still floating around - deservedly so - but now it’s somehow managed to get even better, because now we’ve found out the reasoning behind his excessively elaborate movements: he was supposed to be wielding a light saber. Brilliant.

Maradona Thinks PoTY Voting Rules are Stupid Posted: 20 Jan 2009 09:53 AM PST Is anybody else secretly glad that Diego Maradona is back in the public eye making public quotes? What in the world did we bloggers ever write about before? His latest gripe? That the Player of the Year voting rules are stupid because he couldn’t vote for Lionel Messi. “I had to choose somebody else, knowing that Lionel Messi is the best player in the world,” the Argentina coach told reporters, adding that he had voted for Manchester United and Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo instead. Maradona said the rules banned coaches from voting for players from their own country. “Whoever thought that up is stupid,” he said. “It’s incredible, I voted for Ronaldo when I wanted to vote for Messi but I couldn’t.” … The FIFA award is based on votes by the national team coaches and captains of the 208 member associations of world soccer’s governing body. I guess I’d probably be pretty upset under the same circumstances (although I’m not sure there’s any way I’d vote for Ronaldo, just because. Fernando Torres, maybe.) I’m thinking that when Maradona gets sacked for Argentina, it would be a l ot of fun to let him replace Sepp Blatter at FIFA so he could make all the rules himself?

Email Scammers Target World Cup 2010 Posted: 16 Jan 2009 06:00 AM PST Are you tired of spammers Opromising that you’ll “love her long time”? Or that you’ve won the Irish lottery? Or the promise of a date with a fat 40 year old slob of a dude named Alexis you know you’ll never have? Me too. Spammers need another, more creative gimmick. Apparently they agree and have taken to sports largest arena, offering the chance to be robbed at gun point and/or murdered take in the world’s greatest sports spectacle - or something - in return for the keys to the safety deposit box. The email is real tricky to decipher, being pimped by Bill Gate and all. “The scam message even tells the recipient that they must keep the given ‘winning information’ confidential until they have received their prize as a precautionary measure to avoid double claiming and unwarranted abuse,” said Labiano. The emails ask you to send confidential information such as name, address, telephone number and age to a ‘claim agent’. Though the message seems to have been through a spell-checker, there are several clues that it isn’t a genuine email. “This Lottery was promoted and sponsored by some multinational companies as including Bill Gate, and some other EU governments, to promote South Africans 2010 Worldcup Award [sic],” the email reads. Wait, so you’re telling me someone from Africa is going to ask me for secure information and/or money? No fucking way! - Attention Dear,I have Paid for the delivery fee for your Cheque Draft.but the manager of Eko Bank Benin told me that before the check will get to you that it will expire.So i told him to cash $3.500.00 all the necessary arrangement of delivering the $3.500.00 in cash was made with FEDEX COURIER COMPANY PLC.Be inform that there are some documents to be secured.The only fee you have to send to them is $130 usd which will serve as the insurance fee and claims of affadvite to enable them deliver the parcel to you immediately. Do contact them and let me know when you have recieve your fund, below is the needed information to enable them deliver your fund to you immediately. Thank god they warned us. So if someone promises you tickets for access to your life’s savings, think twice.
